Thomas Stumbaugh 2018-02-06     No Comment     Photography

Many people spend a lot of time and money taking photos, and this is particularly true among women. Any photographer knows the beauty and value of having their clients make the right poses during photography sessions. Thus, knowing the various posing techniques will be of great help.

When it comes to taking photos, many people fail to pay attention to the hair. What thy miss to know is that hair is like any other part of the body. As such, even with the best pose and bad hair, the photo might not be very impressive. Some of the great hair pose styles include all hair behind the shoulders, all hair on one side, all hair in front of the shoulder, all hair up and all hair on one side. These hair pose styles will give different looks on different persons. As such, your photographer should help your client choose the one that suits your looks.

    Lifting the arm

Most people opt to stand naturally during photo sessions or have their arms just flat at the sides. This may look cool, but it is not the best pose. It makes one feel uncomfortable and awkward. Additionally, it exaggerates the arm size as it is squished. To have a lovely photo, you can either suspend your hand freely or lift it up slightly, or pose your arm while holding the hip.

    Avoid showing the eye white

This is another great pose technique. During the photo session, the photographer channels the attention of the client by looking at a distant object. This way, you achieve control over the eye line. Consequently, you will note that the iris is more pronounced as compared to the white part.

The nose should not break the faceman posing in black clothes

In some instances, you may want to take just a portion of your face, in such a case, the client is required to have their heads turn quarter way to achieve this. With, this, you can see an imagery line down their face. The nose should not cross this line, as it will break the natural face curve. To eliminate this, let your client turn slightly towards you so that you can see a little space between the end part of the nose and the tilted side of the face.

    Turning your shoulders

This is an incredibly simple tip to apply when taking photos. With this pose style, you look smaller than you would look when staring at a camera. Additionally, your client will look slimmer as they have displayed a slim profile. Thus, this is the best pose needed to create a less pronounced profile.
